What we do
VVK PR + Creative brings decades of strategic communications and creative production experience to media, automotive, energy, insurance, IT, legal, nonprofit, retail and real estate industries. We provide clients and partners with communication solutions that advance their brand and connect with their audiences.
History
One part of our story began in 2008. Michael Sherman and Jamie Kaye Walters opened Velocity Cow to create brilliant video projects. What started in a home office has blossomed into a successful business with clients nationwide. Today, the goal to this day remains the same. Put some talented people together and create high quality video for small businesses without massive marketing budgets and larger companies looking for something new.
Peter Van Dyke comes to this venture with 20 years in the PR field, most recently as CEO of a firm he acquired in 2016 and ran until 2022. Driven by a fierce respect for his clients and their work, Peter founded VVK PR + Creative with his partners to create an agency that works intentionally for clients, people, and our community.
In April 2022, VVK PR + Creative officially launched as an integrated communications firm based in Detroit that brings together the collective expertise, leadership and combined portfolios of its founding partners, Velocity Cow and the talented VVK team.

As passionate corporate citizens, we are committed to improving our communities and Detroit specifically. In addition to driving impact for its team and clients, VVK PR + Creative will operate on a philanthropic mission to impact organizations aligned with the founders’ passions and company culture. This includes serving on the boards of and making investments in Wayne State University’s College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts, Detroit Public Theatre, InsideOut Literary Arts Program, Culture Source and Michigan Humane.
